Quick Tip Tuesday – We want your Opinion

Jenn and I really want your opinion! We have an extensive collection of tutorials on general digital scrapbooking, Photoshop, and Elements. And a lot of you like a tutorial you can print out and have next to you as you try the tutorial. But they really take a lot of time to properly assemble the screen shots, examples, etc and write it up.

We have been experimenting with video tutorials. (See one at the end of this post.) We like them as they are a great extension of our teaching philosophy we use in our classes – you get to learn visually by seeing and hearing us teach you a tip or technique. But you can’t really easily try the tutorial and follow along – you have to keep switching back and forth between the video tutorial and your program – and that’s a little annoying. Bu they are a lot less time to get one together, so we could possibly do a lot more of them for you.

So we would like your opinion – vote below and let us know. Feel free to leave a comment if you want to give an explanation or expand on your vote. And thanks for letting us know!

Get Scrapping! Our new Tennessee site for scrappers

One of the best things about scrapbooking is the tremendous community we find!  Our online friends are a regular source of inspiration and support, but sometimes you just have to get out of the house.  Often we tend to gather in small groups at distant sites, and don’t have the opportunity to meet new scrappers or learn new things.

We’ve started a website to help bring our local paper and digi-scrapping buddies together.  We plan to get the word out about local scrapping crops, sales, classes and other opportunities of interest to scrapbookers.  If you’re in southeast TN or northwest GA, stop on over to Get Scrapping, TN! and sign up for our email list!

If you’re not in our area, do you get together with the scrapping community in your town?  Have you been to a digi-crop?  Are digi-scrappers welcome at the paper crops? How do you learn about what’s new in town?  We love to get new ideas from far-away places!
