I saw the post with the link to customized palettes and wondered is this something you all do on a regular basis and rename the pallet to what you want to match what you are working on at that particular time and then keep it filed away?
Just curious. I never messed the the original palettes in PSCS2 Thanks for any advice.

Are you talking about swatches, Brenda? Yes, I make custom swatches all the time as a designer, because I need to work with a particular set of colors over and over again. Rather than having to sample from a jpg file as a lot of people do, it's more efficient to use a swatch file. Also, you can download swatch files from many color schemers, which is quick and easy. Remind me and I'll show you why you should use your swatches palette! (Or take our brushes class, we go over it in that one!)
