Description: Finally, a pic of a &quot;posed&quot; Caleb almost smiling. lol JOURNALING 1 READS: Shot was taken at the church in Florence, OR while we were visiting Grandma and Grandpa Lieberenz. I have always loved these flowers, and just found out this year what they were called - Fire Glow or Red Hot Pokers. I simply had to try and get you and your sisters pictures in front of them! We gave it our best shot. Huh? August 15. 2010 JOURNALING 2 READS: I always enjoy trying to make you pose, Caleb. You try and try and try to get that perfect �smile� when I ask you to. I know it is quite common at this age, but it really is comical to watch you put so much effort into smiling for the camera. But no matter what kind of smile, I love them all! Description: The journaling says it all. Thanks to the great team at PDW, esp Julie, for helping me think of a title! It says it all. JOURNALING READS: Every year we go to visit Grandma and Grandpa Lieberenz in beautiful, and I mean gorgeous Florence, Oregon. It is so lush and green there and in many ways reminds me of home - Green Bay. All of the trees. Just wonderful. But Florence is built on the huge Oregon Dunes, and although it is green, a lot of work goes into adding color - althoughall of the rain helps. One of our favorite things to do is drive around and look at all of the natural and �man-made� landscaping. From my first visit, I fell in love with these vibrant flowers. I finally figured out what they were named this year. Fire Glow. Isn�t that the perfect name for these flowers? And I simply HAD to get your, Gayle�s, picture in front of them. And not just because of your beautiful hair. But you are so fun and flirty and often �firey� in your own way. In a very GOOD way. You enjoy being on the go and having fun with everyone you meet. You glow with the happiness you feel. So, the perfect shot. Description: JOURNALING READS: I swear - I am raising a bunch of monkeys! All of my children love to climb. Sigh. On this day we were at Bay Beach amusement park with our friends, the Whitneys. There are only a few rides Tianna likes to go on, so she and I finished those and were off to the park area. As you can see, she had to do things her way. Daddy pointed out this is better than climbing actual �urban� pipes way above the city! Gotta agree with that wisdom - I guess. Sigh. Description: Journaling Reads: I have always wondered if I would EVER be able to get you to eat anything in the veggie food category. You ate them as a baby, but once you hit two, well. . .that was it. Veggies were a complete write off for you. By the age of five, green beans were �passable,� but that was about it. Finally, Grandma Rowley held the key to adding another veggie to your repetoire - that with a touch of lemon, eating �trees� was actually kind of yummy. HeeHee! Each of the kids always gets a turn to steer the boat around the big part of the lake. Generally, they take this responsibility seriously. Ahem. Generally. This year Gaylie decided to seriously �wing it� and truly �threw� herself into it. Look at poor grandpa�s face! Thank goodness it is only a pontoon boat and can only go so fast and turn so tight. Description: FINALLY! Got my layout to upload - lol. Here is my July 2010 Map of Me. This year we are making some sort of "patriotic" layout minus photos. Heartfelt. Song Lyrics Are: I love my land America with blue skies big and wide; I love my land America with seas on either side The prairie corn grows tall and green, the wheat is amber gold: The rivers run from mountain peaks where the stars and stripes unfold. I love my land America, and as long as we are good, The Lord will bless America in love and brotherhood. JOURNALING READS: This is a song I learned as a little girl when I was 6 years old. It was part of the Primary Presentation that year, 1976, to celebrate the Bi-Centennial of the U.S.A. I remember singing it with our little group at one of the county fairs. We had so many people come by wanting the words to it. I just this year found the lyrics again - but still haven�t found the music. But I do love this patriotic hymn!
