What’s digiscrapping without pictures? Pictures, and the memories they hold, are one of the prime reasons we are inspired to capture our memories through scrapbooking. As the scrapbooking world has transitioned to hybrid or digital, everybody has had to relearn the new medium of digital photography. Below are some sites I use often:
One of the best sites I have found for information on digital cameras is www.dpreview.com. The founder and editor Phil Askely and his staff provide detailed, full reviews of digital cameras, news about up-coming cameras, and forums to post and read other people’s opinions. The site is easy to navigate and to quickly find the information you need. I like the in-depth reviews because it will show you screen shots of every screen and a explanation of all of the items on a screen or dial. Great if you forget what the
or
mean!
Don’t forget the manufacturer’s website for your digital camera!
Canon, in addition to having great basic information about their models of digital cameras, has an educational section. View it here.
Nikon has a similar site with their Digital Learning Center. Go to by clicking here.
Kodak, as might be expected, has a tremendous site for photographers of all ability levels. It has good, basic, easy to understand information about digital photography and their great line of cameras. See it here.
We want to help too! Take one of our classes, post a question in our forum, or leave a blog comment and we’ll help. We are getting a Know your Digital camera Class ready for September – that might be just the one!
Use these resources and you’ll soon be a Digital Camera Master!
