Quick Tip Tuesday – Brush Up!

Sometimes I take the most simple shortcuts for granted, and forget to share them with you!  I looked back through more than a year of QTT posts to see if we’d done this tip, and it seems we haven’t.  I use this tip EVERY day, and if you don’t know it, you will need to know it!

BRUSH

1. To make your brush larger or smaller quickly, just use the bracket keys [ and ].  The right bracket will make your brush larger, the left smaller!  This works in all versions of PSE and PSE, but if you have your brush picker palette open, you may need to close it before hitting the keys.  It’s a huge timesaver!

BRUSH2 2. To make your brush harder or softer (sharper or blurrier) just hold the SHIFT key when you hit the bracket keys!  Left is softer, right is harder.  When you’re erasing the edge of something (like an extraction) try hitting the SHIFT+[ just once and see if you don’t get a more natural edge.

You can learn much more you didn’t know about your brush tool in our Brush Up! class.  We have new sessions scheduled, and this one usually fills up, so don’t miss out.  We’ve put this class (and the Pen class and Tips and Tricks) on sale for only $10 so now is the time to treat yourself!

Happy Scrapping!
