Quick Tip Tuesday – Draggin’ my Wagon

I’m feeling cruddy this week, struggling to get through my usual crazy schedule with some kind of intestinal bug.  I know I’m late with this, but I showed several people this trick this week, so I wanted to share with you!

Do you ever need to drag something onto a layout, but it’s impossible to find a pixel to grab?  I’m thinking of transparent items or overlays.  There’s a quick and easy way around this – drag from the thumbnail!

Just open the document you want to drag onto your layout, and click on the thumbnail in the layers palette.  Without letting up off the mouse button, drag it onto your layout. (If you want to center it, as with an overlay, hold the SHIFT key too!)
