Quick Tip Tuesday: Quickie Colors

brushes I’m always looking for ways to work faster, and this tip has come in handy more than once this week, so I thought I should share!

In PS and PSE, when you are using the brush tool, you can change your foreground color very quickly by pressing the ALT key.  This turns your cursor to the eyedropper, and you can now click on anything you’d like to capture that color!

If you’d like to make a color palette from a photo, this is super easy!  Open the photo, then sample various spots on the photo to create a palette.  The music notes above were chosen from this photo:

If you’re searching for the right color to stamp some Word Art or other brush, this is a quick and easy way to ‘try on’ colors! Sample the papers or photos on your layout for a perfect match!

Give it a try – and…
Happy Scrapping!
