Quick Tip Tuesday – What’s in YOUR toolbelt?

If you were a carpenter, (especially a hunky carpenter like Carter Oosterhouse from Trading Spaces) you would keep the tools you used the most right in your toolbelt for easy access, right?

Photoshop (and PSElements) has easy access tools for us too!  Here are a few shortcuts to help you grab the tool you need, right when you need it!

When you’re in the BRUSH tool:

• get your GRAB tool (the little hand) by holding down the space bar.  Click and Drag to move the page around. (This actually works for ANY tool you’re in!)
• change your foreground color quickly by holding down the ALT key to get the eyedropper tool, then click on anything to change your foreground color to the color you clicked on!
• duplicate the layer you’re on by holding the CTRL and ALT keys then click and dragging.
• get your MOVE tool (the little arrow) by holding the CTRL key (this works for ANY tool too!) Click and Drag to move items on that layer.
