We’re starting a new weekly feature here – Scraplift Saturday! One of the best ways to learn any art is to emulate those whose work you admire. Each week we’ll post a layout that includes techniques or design principles we like, and invite you to scraplift with us! All we ask is that you visit the original layout’s gallery post and leave a nice comment for our scraplift honoree – then post your scraplift in our gallery so we can all see your take on it! (edit- you need to register and log in before you can comment!)
This week, we honor the work of Brandy Murry at Scrapgirls! Click here or on the image to go to her gallery post and look at the layout more closely.
I liked the way she worked the words in with the elements, how she used three different photos, the layering of the photos and the blending of the large photo into the background!
(edit) Here’s a set of layered scallop edge templates I made for my layout, maybe they’ll be helpful for you! Click HERE to download!
Some of our recent Tutorial Crop tuts that would help with this are WEAVING and BLENDING.
If you’re on Yahoo IM and want to scrap along with us, I’m bigscrapkitty. Add me and send me a message and I’ll invite you to our conference where we chat as we scrap!
Happy Scrapping!
